Dr. Vijay Narasappa

Dr. Vijay Narasappa completed his MBBS from Banglore Medical College, Karnataka in 1985 and MD in Internal Medicine from Mysore Medical College, Karnataka, India in 1990.

Later he gained much knowledge in the field of Diabetes by obtaining PG Diploma in Endocrinology from University of South wales, UK and MS in Diabetolgy from Corllins University, USA.

Dr. Vijay Narasappa started his professional career at AIMS, Bellur, Mandya, India, as a Lecturer in Medicine. Later he joined the Karnataka State Government health Services. After serving the Karnataka people in District Hospital Mandya, he came to Dubai in 1992.

Since then he is working in different capacity in Dubai at various places like Department of Health and Medical Services, Government of Dubai, ASTER, before joining NMC.

He is methodical in ordering diagnostic tests and expert in analysis and interpretation of the results. He has special interest in the treatment of diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

He has expertise in the following fields:

• Management of patients related to internal medicine
• Management of infectious diseases, acute febrile illnesses
• Management of diabetes and its related complications and guidance to prevent diabetes and obesity
• Management of hypertension and to guide patients in preventing its complications related to HTN

• Explaining to patients regarding dietary advice and lifestyle modifications to prevent obesity hypertension and diabetes and its related complications
