Dr. Virendra Kumar Misra is a leading non-interventional Cardiologist with over 25 years of rich experience in Cardiology. He received his MBBS and MD from State Government BRD Medical College in India. He subsequently achieved his Post Graduate Diploma in Cardiology from Middlesex University in UK. Dr. Virendra has obtained his Fellowship from the American Heart Association (FAHA) in 2010, Indian Society of Cardiology (FISC), Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology (FAPSC) in 2013 and Gulf Heart Association (FGHA) in 2014.

Dr. Virendra has been associated with several healthcare institutes of high repute in India, Saudi Arabia, Oman and UAE. Prior to joining Burjeel Day Surgery Center, he practiced for more than a decade in one of the largest government hospitals in Abu Dhabi. He is trained in Echocardiography, Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Stress ECHO by Prof. Navin C. Nanda at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA. He has good experience in adult as well as paediatric ECHO.

He is also trained in Comprehensive Cardiac CT- Part-A & Part B" by CT Academy, Pal Maurovich-Horvat, MD; PhD & Marc H.M.Winkens MD. He is performing all non-invasive Cardiology tests including Cardiac CT, adult and Paediatric Echocardiography, Colour Doppler, Contrast studies, Stress Echo and TEE, Exercise ECG testing & Holter Monitor.

Dr. Virendra is a keen researcher and has been an author of a number of Peer – reviewed publications. He also has several articles in leading magazines and journals to his credit. He is a certified active AHA Instructor of ACLS and conducts regular courses. Dr. Virendra has special interest in Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease and Preventive Cardiology. He is fluent in English and Hindi..
