Dr. Wael Shaaban

I am 15 years experienced neurosurgeon, Arabic, English and Spanish speaker, currently working at REEM Hospital in Abu Dhabi, pioneering the most advanced technology in Spine surgery, where I am performing Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery, specially Endoscopic Discectomy and decompression, becoming the pioneer of this technique in the region.

During my career I have performed over 2000 surgeries, of which, more than 1500 have been under Minimally invasive technique with over 500 endoscopic spine surgeries, being focused in this field of Spine surgery for the last 12 Years. I have supported and monitored specialists with less experience in minimal invasive surgery, and currently leading the Spine Endoscopy training program for Spine Surgeons in UAE, the First of its kind in the Region. I have been appointed Faculty, Speaker and Chairman of Multiple National and International Spine conferences, as well as Training and Cadaveric workshops maintaining the continuous development and improvement of minimal invasive techniques in the Region.
