Dr. Xavier Garcia Aguilera

Dr Xavier obtained his Medical Degree from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador, 2002. He later became Specialist in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy from the University of Alcala de Henares, after 4 years of training in the Hospital Ramon y Cajal in Madrid, Spain. Then in 2005, Dr Xavier obtained his Certificate of Advanced Studies-Research sufficiency from the University of Alcala de Henares, as a part of his PhD studies in Medicine.

Dr Xavier has been an individual member of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy since 2008, being awarded with one of the ten grants offered by the society for training in advanced endoscopic procedures in 2009, gaining experience and skills with some of the best endoscopists in Europe at Policlinico Gemelli in Rome.

Dr Xavier Garcia Aguilera is a Gastroenterology Consultant with more than 18 years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology, Dr Xavier worked in many leading medical organizations in UAE for the past 8 years and in Spain, including large public hospitals like Ramon y Cajal Hospital, semiprivate hospitals like Torrejon de Ardoz Hospital and private sector at Madrid Sanchinarro Hospital.

During his time in Madrid, he was responsible for all kind of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, having performed more than 10,000 endoscopies and being in charge of assisting patients with chronic liver diseases in a specialized consultation.
