Dr. Yasmin El-Rouby

Dr. Yasmin El-Rouby, (OD MSc PH), is a Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. El-Rouby worked in a reputable LASIK Clinic in Dubai and in a private practice in Canada. She was also a faculty member and lecturer at the Johnson and Johnson Vision Institute.

Dr. El-Rouby received her degree from the University of Montreal in Canada and her Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Her passion and dedication to promoting good vision led her to start a non-profit organization, which aims to eradicate vision disorders worldwide by focusing on early detection of refractive disorders and providing glasses to as many people as possible.

Achievements & Career Highlights

• She has almost twenty years' of experience in various settings including primary care private practice, hospital setting and lasik centers. In addition to comprehensive eye care and ocular disease management, she has worked a lot with keratoconus patients which are of a high prevalence in the UAE
• She has extensive experience screening and managing lasik patients
• She is the Founder and Chairperson of Baseera Vision International, a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating preventable forms of blindness by providing much needed eye examinations and vision correction to those who need it most
