Eglal Baza

Dr. Eglal Baza earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt and began her career in General Medicine at Cheshire, UK for two years with particular interest in chest diseases. Following to that, she joined Clatter Bridge Hospital, a large teaching hospital at Liverpool, specializing mainly in Oncology. Dr. Baza then specialized in Anesthesia at the Western General Hospital and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland for the fellowship training culminating with the attainment of her Diploma in Anesthesia in 1978 from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, London, UK. Pursuant to Dr. Baza's latter achievement, she continued her education and obtained her second Diploma in Anesthesia in 1993 from the Royal College of Anesthetists, London, UK. She also completed Part 1 of the F.C. Anesthesia from the Royal College of Anesthetists, London, UK.

Dr. Baza then relocated to the Caribbean Coast Region and practiced as a Senior Registrar in Anesthesia in very demanding and dynamic teaching hospitals in Montego Bay and Kingston, Jamaica. Continuing her globe-trot and extensive career development, Dr. Baza was appointed from London, UK to join a JCI-Accredited leading maternity hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE where she practiced as Specialist in Anesthesia for almost twenty years. She then joined a newly-established hospital in the UAE for 18 months to support the setting up of their Anesthesia Department. Dr. Baza has also attended several clinical workshops in the field of Anesthesiology mostly at UK, USA and UAE.

Dr. Baza carries extensive experience covering various sub-specialties of Anesthesia that includes Gynecological and Obstetrical Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Oral & ENT, Vascular Surgery and Intensive Care. Moreover, Dr. Baza is a member of the European Society of Regional Anesthesiology and Pain Therapy; and is certified by the American Heart Association for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Dr. Baza has brought to Abu Dhabi, the UAE and indeed a substantial area of the globe vast knowledge and experience in international standards and quality of care, which she will undoubtedly continue to provide at HealthPlus Fertility Center as a Specialist Anesthesiology.
