She graduated from University of Medicine Ain Shams and completed her internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at its affiliated hospital.

Dr. Elham is Professor Doctor of Dermatology and Venerology at the University Medical School, Ain Shams, Cairo, and also, Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at the University of Medicine Ain Shams, Egypt. She is published in multiple journals and lectured at several international conferences. Dr. Elham still continues to participate in research.
