Dr. Gregor Kowal earned his medical degree and doctorate from the prestigious Ruprecht-Karl University in Heidelberg, Germany. During his student years, he had international exposure when he completed internships at the Italian University of Bologna, the English University of Warwick and Cambridge University. His postgraduate training was in Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Neurology and Internal Medicine, which he successfully completed with specialty exams in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Chamber Koblenz and in Family Medicine at the Medical Chamber of Hanover. His specialist education and training include a profound expertise in biological psychiatry, psychodynamic based psychotherapy, and family medicine. In his psychotherapeutic approach, he feels strongly related to the pioneers of depth-psychology, such as Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, Melanie Klein and their successors.
Dr. Gregor Kowal’s work experience includes the roles Senior Consultant and Head of Department at the Hochtaunus Hospital for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy near Frankfurt, Germany, and Medical Director of Ederbergland Hospital for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy near Marburg, Germany. In these roles he treated patients and provided education to assistant doctors and psychologists entrusted to his care. During this time he was appointed as a psychiatric expert at the Court of Frankfurt (Germany).
Since 2011, Dr. Kowal has been the director of the Clinic of Health and Medical Care (CHMC) and has been providing psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and family medicine services.

Mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorders, phobias), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis (schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders), personality disorders, dementias and family medicine disorders.

Dr. Kowal has his special way of showing you the difference between the reality and the psychotic state. With Dr. Kowal, medication is a matter of agreement between the patient and the dr which is only done if the patient is fully aware of what he has.

My son was lucky enough to have Dr. Kowal as his physiciatrist for the past few years. He is an absolute credit to his profession. His calm demeanor and presence is a godsend. My son isn't the easiest to get to know or responsive. Dr. Kowal treated him with grace and respect the entire time. Before prescribing he checked his blood/liver/heart. He then checked periodically. We are extremely lucky to have Dr. Kowal in Dubai. My sons last visit was today as he leaves for university. We felt quite sad that his time with Dr. Kowal had ended. My son was encouraged to reach out to him anytime.
