Hassan Siegfried Abou-Rebyeh

Prof. Dr. Hassan Siegfried Abou-Rebyeh took his Bachelor’s Degree (Study of Human Medicine) at Medical College, Free University, Berlin, Germany in 1980; his PhD at the Institute of Infection and Microbiology of the same university in 1989; then his MSc (Study Evidence Based Health Care) at Oxford University, UK in 2009.

He was appointed as Associate Professor (Priv. Doz.) at Charite University, Berlin, Germany in 2005, then at UAE University, Al Ain, UAE in 2009. Prior to practicing in UAE, he worked in various hospitals in Germany including Urology and Surgery Clinic of Berlin; Institute for Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Free University; University Hospital Benjamin Franklin, Free University; and Campus Virchow-Klinikum, University Hospital of Charite University Medicine. To his credit, Prof.

Dr. Abou-Rebyeh has authored 34 original publications, released 28 peer-reviewed papers in international medical journals, wrote 6 book chapters, and has done more than 200 international congress presentations. He is also a reviewer of international medical journals on topics such as endoscopy and gut. His field of interest includes Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, and Hepatology and his clinical and scientific specializations on interventional endoscopy include gastroscopy, enteroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, PTC, video capsule, cholangioscopy, endoscopic ultrasound.
