Himesh Kumar Shah

Dr. Himesh Kumar Shah has over 19 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. He received his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), University of Delhi in 1984, completed his MS (Ophthalmology) from MAMC & Assoc Guru Nanak Eye Centre, University of Delhi in 1990. Dr. Himesh qualified for DNB (Ophthalmology) at National Board of Examinations in 1991, then took his fellowship in General Ophthalmology under the guidance of Prof. Akira Momose at Kiryu, Japan in 1996. He presented a paper on Monocular Cataracts in children at the International Congress of Ophthalmology in 1990.

After doing his senior Residency at St. Stephen's Hospital, New Delhi, he started private practice as Consultant Eye Surgeon in 1992, then worked as a Senior Consultant in various hospitals in India. He is a member of All India Ophthalmological Society, Delhi Ophthalmological Society, and National Society for Prevention of Blindness. His field of interest includes phacoemulsification, small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma, refractive surgery and cornea.
