He graduated in Medicine in 1988 from Kashmir University, India. He obtained Master’s degree in General Surgery in 1995 from SKIMS, Srinagar, India, a deemed university. After super specialty training in Cardiothoracic Surgery, he was awarded Master’s (M.Ch.) from University of Mumbai, India in 1999.
