Dr. Kris Wasilewski has more than 30 years of professional experience in surgery. He has been trained in Poland where he has obtained a PhD degree in surgery and had been working as an Assistant Professor in the University Hospital. In 1992 he began practicing in Dubai Rashid Hospital with special interest in vascular surgery. He has been trained in leading vascular surgery and phlebology centers in Germany and the US. For the last 10 years his major concern is Phlebology - diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases. Dr. Kris has pioneered new mini-invasive methods for the treatment of varicose veins in the region. In 2004 he was also a co-organizer of the U.A.E.’s first Phlebology Center in Rashid Hospital - Dubai. He has always introduced the latest and most advanced methods of vein treatment to his practice. During his personal experience in Phlebology, he has treated more than 2500 patients by: Endovenous Laser Treatment (almost 1000 cases), Radiofrequency, Foam Sclerotherapy, Miniphlebectomy and conventional vein surgery. Apart from usual clinical work, he has prepared many research papers which were presented in different national and international vascular surgery congresses and meetings. During the last few years he has presented papers at World Phlebology Congresses in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil (2005), Kyoto – Japan (2007), Monaco (2009) and other international phlebological events like the Annual Meeting of German Phlebology Society in Mainz (2007, Special Award), Phlebology Conference in Al Kobar – KSA (2009) and Polish Phlebology Society conference in Zakopane (2012). He has also attended annual Congresses of the American College of Phlebology and the European Venous Forum. For the last 7 years, he has been involved in organizing and presenting live workshops of Endovenous Laser Treatment for Doctors from UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Egypt and Indonesia in Dubai and abroad. Currently, he is practicing vascular surgery at the Vascular Clinic at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Center in Dubai, where he is dedicated to comprehensive and complex diagnosis and treatment of his patients’ venous diseases using a combination of the newest up-to-date mini-invasive methods.
