Dr. Mohamed Hassan

Dr. Hassan is a Consultant / Nephrologist at SKMC. Dr Hassan manages acute and chronically ill patients as part of his routine daily practice and has particular expertise in all aspects of Kidney diseases including: Acute and chronic kidney failure, Disorders of Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, and Magnesium. Also in kidney transplant evaluation and follow up.

In addition to hypertension. Prior to SKMC, Dr Hassan practiced in USA for more than 10 years. Dr. Hassan was a Teaching faculty attending at Capital health system in NJ, USA and Nephrology attending at York Hospital in York PA, USA. He also held an academic post as Assistant Professor of Medicine in Pennsylvania State University. Dr Hassan was awarded the Ronald M. Franz, MD award for high academic attainment and quality that characterized the fine physician in 1996, also was awarded the Physician of the year by Pennsylvania advisory Board, USA in 2003.

Dr Hassan is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, and a reviewer for the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr Hassan has many research and publications in Diabetic nephropathy, IgA Nephropathy, and many others.
