Muhaj Al Shaikhli

Dr. Muhaj Al Shaikhli received her medical degree from the University of Baghdad in 1995. She then received a diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology and became a Member of the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization in 2001. Dr. Al Shaikhli holds the Arab Board in Obstetrics & Gynecology since 2001. She is also a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (MRCOG), UK since 2007. Dr. Al Shaikhli practiced as a Specialist Obstetrics & Gynecology in several major maternity teaching hospitals in Iraq before she moved to the UAE in 2004. She then joined one of the public JCI accredited hospitals in Abu Dhabi for over six years and for another two years in one of the private hospitals in Ras Al Khaimah.

Dr. Muhaj comes in with vast experience and knowledge in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology along with a deep understanding of the culture. Dr. Al Shaikhli’s areas of interest include antenatal care, obstetrics & gynecology surgery, and assists in laparoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic surgeries. She also brings in thorough experience in cervical cancer prevention, colposcopic procedures, management of menstrual disorders, management of ectopic pregnancy and management of infertility/family planning. She also performs minor gynecological surgeries (dilation and curettage, cervical cerclage, removal of vaginal cysts…etc); and laparotomy for hysterectomy, fibroids, ovarian cystectomy, tubal ligation and others.
