Omran Bedir Gatee

Dr. Omran Bedir Gatee completed his MBChB at Baghdad University, Iraq in 1968, then his DM in Internal Medicine in Baghdad in 1974. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians - UK in 1977, then a fellow in 1989, afterwards a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians - Glasgow in 1995.

Dr. Omran received a Certificate of Completion for Specialist Training in the Specialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus and General (Internal) Medicine. He has clinical attachments with various government and private hospitals in Iraq, UK, and UAE. In UK, he worked as a Consultant Physician in healthcare providers such as Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford; Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Luton; and Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. He also worked as a Consultant Physician in General Medicine, Endocrinology, and Diabetes in Maidstone Hospital; St. Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight; and Stirling and Falkirk Hospitals NHS.

In 2009, Dr. Omran moved to UAE and continued his medical practice as Consultant Physician in General Medicine, Endocrinology, and Diabetes in several private hospitals within Abu Dhabi. He has published several research papers on chest diseases, endocrine patterns, thyroid diseases, hormonal issues and has teaching involvements with medical schools in UK such as Guy, St. Thomas, and St. George. His field of interest includes internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic diseases.
