The Singhania Clinic first opened in 1995. It was first called the Singhania Children’s Clinic. Though I wanted to call it Neurodevelopmental Centre the powers that be insisted I use my name. This was for the best which I realized later.
Dr Singhania is the only pediatrician with a degree in neurodevelopmental pediatrics, psychology and counselling, and MEd (educational degree) in autism and a fellowship in biomedical intervention therapy.
She trained herself as the need arose. The training was undertaken as she believe in holistic integrative treatment.
Her dream was to start a centre which dealt with various developmental problems in children. She started gathering a team of psychologists, speech therapist, and educational therapist. This was really hard as the DOH or present DHA did not have licenses or labor cards for them.
It first opened on Jumeirah Beach Road and then moved its location to Karama, now it has been operating from Dubai Healthcare City for more than 8 years.
Her main reason to transfer to DHCC was to try and do research. She firmly believe that all treatment should reflect
