Zbigniew Ruszczak

Dr. Ruszczak qualified from Medical University of Lodz and trained in major teaching hospitals in Germany including University Medical Center Berlin, and University Teaching Hospital of Muenster. He completed the prestigious Clinical and Research Fellowship of The Alexander von Humbold Foundation at the University Medical Center Steglitz, Berlin (1987-1990).
Prior to his board certification in dermatology and allergy, Dr. Ruszczak obtained board certification in general pathology. He also completed the training in phlebology. He obtained his PhD in Medicine in 1984.

Dr. Ruszczak is a Consultant Dermatologist and Allergist at SKMC since 2009. Dr. Ruszczak manages acute and chronic skin diseases, allergy symptoms, sexually transmitted diseases, and skin cancer and has particular expertise in all aspects of skin and hair conditions, diagnostic and treatment of allergies, prevention and treatment of skin cancer (cutaneous oncology), aesthetic dermatology, and laser procedures. Dr. Ruszczak is an internationally recognized expert in wound management. Before coming to SKMC Dr. Ruszczak practiced dermatology and allergy in Germany for the last 19 years.

He was also involved in medical research serving as a leading consultant, medical director and head of research & development at Innocoll Inc., a world leader in biotechnology and local drug delivery. He was also extensively involved in wound management establishing standards and practical guidelines as well as wound care clinics. Dr. Ruszczak is a Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology. He is a member of the German Society of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, International Dermatologic Society, European Academy of Dermatology, European Wound Healing Society, Polish Dermatologic Society, Sigma Xi Research Society in USA.
