Mazen Abou Chaaban

Receiving his higher studies and skilled training in the field of Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology (kidney diseases) in Cologne, Germany, Dr. Mazen Abou Chaaban has two decades of experience in working in the Pediatrics field here in Dubai. He is a highly respected expert in children’s healthcare and one of the few doctors in the region to specialize in Pediatric Nephrology. Dr. Mazen was recruited to the government hospital in Dubai to establish its first Pediatric Nephrology unit to provide services for children in the Gulf Area. He was also appointed Head of the hospital’s Pediatric and Pediatric Nephrology Department (1991-2002). At the Dubai Medical College for Girls, Dr. Mazen served as a senior lecturer for Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology (1994-2002). Dr. Mazen is the former President of the Pan Arab Pediatric Nephrology Association (PAPNA) (2000-2004), and the former Co-President of the Emirates Medical Association’s Nephrology Society (EMAN) (1996-2009).
