Dr. Syed Hasnain Haider-Shah received his medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine, Montreal Canada.
He completed his Rotating Medical/Surgical Internship at Hurley Medical Center/ Michigan State University.
He completed his Radiology Residency from Henry Ford Hospital System/Wayne State University, Michigan ,USA.
He then completed his fellowship training at the combined University of Michigan/Henry Ford Health System Michigan , USA in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. He then completed fellowship in Neurointerventional Radiology and Interventional Pain Management at University of Michigan/Henry Ford Health System. He completed fellowship training in Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Mott Children’s Hospital Ann Arbor. He also performed elective training at MD Anderson Cancer Center and The Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Haider-Shah is fellowship trained in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Neurointerventional Radiology and Interventional Pain Management. He is also trained in Complementary and Alternative Medicine Techniques. He is American Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology. He is also American Board Certified in Regenerative Medicine and member of American Academy of Regenerative Medicine.
He is a recognized expert in Interventional Radiology, Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Neurointervention and Interventional Pain Management. He is a clinical Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan, USA. He has trained other physicians and lectured in the MENA region including UAE, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain and Qatar.
Similarly he is frequently asked to perform physician training and lectures worldwide including in the USA, Canada, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Cyprus, Turkey and Korea.
Dr. Haider-Shah is also the only Western Trained Consultant level Fellowship trained Combined Neurointerventionalist and Peripheral Interventionalist in the UAE. He completed his MBA in Healthcare management and Marketing from Desautels School of Management from McGill University.
In the USA, Dr. Haider-Shah has served as Director of Neurointervention and Interventional Pain Management, Oakwood Hospital, Michigan, USA Dr. Haider-Shah has served as the Director of Neurointervention and Interventional Pain Clinic, Marquette General Hospital, Michigan, USA.
In the UAE , he has been the Director of Neurointervention at SEHA ;SKMC, Tawam, Mafraq and Al-Ain Hospitals. He is the former Chair of Radiology and Director of Interventional Radiology, Neurointervention and Pain Management at Universal Hospital In Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He is also the former Chief Strategy Officer and Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Universal Hospital System. He presently an on staff Physician at multiple hospitals in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Healthcare City. He works at the Westminster Ortho Med Clinic in the Dubai Healthcare City.

Dr. Shah is a true example of a highly knowledgeable, down to earth, very understanding doctor. I was admitted to hospital Emergency with High fever, pain and fatigue and diagnosed with multiple liver abscesses. I was worried and very stressed Yet Dr.Shah listened to all my concerns and explained to me in very detailed and simple manner the various treatment techniques, I really felt he is like a brother who truly care about my health and wellbeing. I visited doctor Syed shah last year after my bad experiences with other doctors, i was suffering from back pain which was making me not able to walk to sit due to disk injury (the injury happened exactly a month and a half before my wedding).
Doctor shah was very clear and transparent in his diagnosis from the beginning , he explained me each and every detail in my case and offered lots of solutions for the immediate recovery without rushing to do a surgery in spite of the short period i had to my wedding, he was also very quick to respond any question through calls or massages.
I highly recommend doctor shah for his great professionalism strong work ethics and knowledge in this kind of field.

I luckily found Dr.Shah for my wife’s disc pain , he helped my wife & gave her a valid advices to strengthen her back in order to the pain to stop , he was very gentle & intelligent. Moreover, he is type of doctors who are few in this time who are not looking for the easy solutions such as seeking an operation to get a quick profit , unfortunately these kind of doctors are everywhere nowadays.
I recommend Dr. Shah for anyone has disc pain or any joints pains , he’s professional, thorough, honest & well knowing his job .

My mother has severe pain and headache, we make all the required investigation and MRI, more than one doctor saw her with the investigation but there was no improvement and then I met Dr. Shah and I give him all the investigation reports for my mother all the MRI images and reports and his diagnosis were very professional and helpful for my mother’s case. As a person who work in Hospital, I was very selective in choosing a primary physician for myself, I have chronic migraine and severe neck pain, his treatment is very helpful.
