Dr. Salem A Beshyah

Dr. Beshyah qualified from the Medical School of Tripoli, Libya in 1982. He received his basic clinical training in Tripoli and Glasgow. After obtaining his membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in Ireland and the United Kingdom, he received further training in diabetes and endocrinology in Leicester, Bedford and London, UK. He also undertook research in endocrinology at the Imperial College London for four years, leading to his PhD degree and many publications.

He served as Consultant Physician in diabetes and endocrinology and metabolism for 10 years in Harlow, UK and for 13 years in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, UAE before joining Mediclinic. He holsd an adjunct professor post at Dubai Medical College and is Editor-in-Chief on Ibnosina Journal of Medicine. He is very active in research and local and regional educational activities.
