Dr. Wael Ahmed Seliem

Dr. Seliem is a Professor of Paediatrics & Neonatology, Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University, Egypt. He has extended and well established experience in the field of Neonatology that been built up in Australia while doing his fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the Canberra Hospital, University of Sydney, Australia. For the last 10 years, he has been working as a consultant of Paediatrics and Neonatology in Kuwait, fulfilling the position of chief of the Neonatal Unit at the largest private hospital there.

Core competencies:

• Evidence based neonatal medicine including management of extreme premature babies
• Non-invasive ventilation over mechanical ventilation
• Therapeutic hypothermia for HIE babies
