Dr. Lama Al Khuja

Lama Al Khuja graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2005 and was chosen to enroll in the leading Dietetic Internship program provided by the American University of Beirut Medical Center.

Upon its completion in 2006, she joined the American University of Beirut Medical Center as a Clinical Dietitian. Her role comprised of providing medical nutrition therapy for various diseases, surgeries, conditions and ages, inclusive of Diabetes, Renal Failure, Heart Failure, Oncology, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Metabolic Diseases and Pregnancy, in an inpatient and outpatient scope.

Furthermore, she was an educator and a preceptor for Nutrition students enrolled in the Dietetic Internship Program at the medical center. She also served as a guest speaker at several medical conferences, community events, and universities.

Along with her work in the medical center, Lama has acquired her thesis based Masters degree in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2010. She taught as an instructor at the department of Nutrition & Dietetics at Zayed University (2013-2015).

Lama has been a part of HealthBay since 2011. She offers a wide scope of research-based up to date medical nutritional management for all surgical and medical conditions as well as pre and post-natal nutrition & weight management.
