Dr. Noha Youssef Mohamed Shalaby

After achieving her master's degree in Neuropsychiatry from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2004, Dr. Noha worked in Abassia mental health hospital, which is one of the largest hospitals in the Middle East for mental health services. She trained in residency programme from 2006 till 2011, serving in the emergency room for psychiatric services, acute admissions, admissions for chronic patients, working in the child and adolescent unit, general adult psychiatry, geriatric and rehabilitation centre and forensic psychiatry. From 2011 until 2015 she worked as specialist psychiatrist in Absassia mental health hospital before joining Mediclinic on 2015. She is also trained in Psychotherapy for depression and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Noha deals with cases of mood disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, postpartum depression, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, dementia and other childhood psychiatric illness such as autism and attention deficit problems.

She is committed to raising awareness of mental health services, and removing stigma of psychiatric illness in the community. She also believes in the importance of psych education for the patient and their families.
