After being trained in Khartoum teaching Hospitals in various fields of medicine, in particular, the tropical diseases hospital which was affiliated to the national research council and the institute of tropical medicine at the time, he obtained wide and extensive experience in internal medicine by working in the Middle East/Gulf region (U.A.E) for well over two decades which includes more than a decade in exclusively British run hospitals in the U.A.E.

He is credited for developing and establishing the first Dialysis Centre and the nephrology department in Sharjah, U.A.E.
