Dr. Ana Teixeira

Dr. Ana Teixeira is a European Board Certified Consultant Rheumatologist with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Ana graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lisbon and is Specialized in Rheumatology by the Portuguese Medical Association. Dr. Ana has also been trained in Switzerland and France in various Rheumatology services at the Cantonal Hospital of General and the Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris.

Between 1990 and 2013, Dr. Ana worked at the Portuguese Institute of Rheumatology, in Lisbon, which is one of the first units of Rheumatology in Europe, where she also worked as the Clinical Director and a Board Member. She has been working in Dubai since 2013 and found a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team at HealthBay, that helps the approach to the rheumatic patients as a whole.

Dr. Ana has been actively involved in leading teams, training and research, published in major Rheumatology journals, organized several scientific meetings and attended major conferences of Rheumatology and is a member of the Emirates Society of Rheumatology, Portuguese Society of Rheumatology, Emirates Society of Osteoporosis and Portuguese Society of Osteoporosis.
