Dr. Anupama Rao is an ophthalmologist with over 18 years of experience. She specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of anterior segment diseases of the eye including cataract, Glaucoma and refractive surgery.

She has been working as a Consultant ophthalmologist with Mediclinic in Dubai since 2005 having worked at various hospitals and institutions in India, as a consultant ophthalmologist prior to that.

Dr. Rao completed her Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, has completed training in Phacoemulsification (sutureless cataract surgery) from the well-known Bombay City Eye Institute and has also done an observership in Glaucoma at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, one of the leading Ophthalmic Institutes of India. Dr.Rao has accomplished her training in IntraLASIK surgery at various centres in India and the United States.

Dr.Rao is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive surgeons.
