Ashraf Shatla

Dr Ashraf Shatla has been practicing as a Neurosurgeon since 1990 after graduating from Edinburgh University. He worked in his specialty as a Brain and Spinal surgeon consultant in Europe, Canada, USA and the Middle East. As a pioneer in neurospinal surgeries, Dr. Shatla's work has extended to the new era of functional neurosurgery using recent neuro-navigation and stereotactic surgery, allowing the most accurate and precise techniques for brain tumor surgery, epilepsy surgery, deep brain stimulation for central pain control & treating involuntary movements and for recent minimal invasive spinal procedures for spinal pain, endoscopic discectomy for disc back and neck pain surgery. Dr. Shatla moved to the Middle East in 2011 and began to expand his reach in the healthcare industry. He has treated a number of patients, both adults and children delivering amazing results. Dr. Shatla became the Chief Consultant and Head of Neurosurgery Department at the Ministry of Health in the UAE. He was selected to be a Chief Consultant Neurosurgeon and performed many craniotomies for brain tumor and spinal surgery procedures at Welcare Hospital in Dubai, UAE.
