Dr. Debashish Sengupta

Dr Debashish completed his MBBS, MS (General Surgery), M.Ch (Urology) from Bombay University and D.N.B (General Surgery), D.N.B (Urology) from the National Board, New Delhi, India. He was awarded a prize for best paper at west zone USI Conference and second prize for best paper at the Bombay Urological Society Meet. He was also honored with the national merit scholarship from the Government of Maharashtra, India.

He specialises in urinary stones, urinary infection, prostate disease, Urogynaecology, Sexual dysfunction in men and Neurourology.

Dr Debashish had an extensive private practise as Consultant Urologist and Andrologist in Mumbai spanning 8 years before joining NMC Healthcare in 2003. He is the Head of the Department of Urology at NMC Specialty Hospital, Dubai. He successfully introduced complete endourological work and developed the Urodynamics laboratory at the hospital. He also introduced the holmium laser surgery for stones and prostate at the hospital.

NMC is one of the very few private institutions in Dubai to offer HOLEP and HOLAP as an alternative to TURP.

Dr Debashish has done extensive work in female incontinence surgery and also specializes in male infertility surgery.

He is involved in the treatment of male erectile dysfunction, especially the use of shockwave therapy as a drug free long term treatment modality for Erectile Dysfunction.

He has many publications to his credit and has presented many papers in urology conferences.
