Dr. Ahmed Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is a Consultant in Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics at Al Jalila Children’s. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan. He started his career in paediatrics in Sudan, and then completed the rest of his training in the Eastern Deanery, Cambridge, UK. Dr. Ahmed has also worked as a consultant in Child Development at London Borough of Hillingdon, London, UK.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a member of the British Paediatric Neurology Association, Dr. Ahmed has also completed a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK.

Dr. Ahmed has significant experience in working with children with various developmental disorders, including autism and learning disability, and their associated comorbidities. He contributed to the development of autism and child development services in Hillingdon, and was part of the team that set up and worked for a service for children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Dr. Ahmed worked with a large multi-agency and multidisciplinary team including health, educational, social care, police and judicial system, and third sector professionals. He also played a part in setting and running up children and parent support groups.
