Dr. Anne Marie Deglume

Dr. Anne Marie Deglume is a highly experienced Belgian General Practitioner with 34 years of experience from Belgium, Africa, and the Middle East.

After graduation from Medical School in Belgium, she had worked in Brussels for 7 years before being sent by the Belgian Cooperation to Cameroon, where she worked for 2 years. In 1990 she moved to the Middle East, where she held senior posts in practices in Saudi Arabia and in the United Arab Emirates.

She worked as a GP and Clinical Tutor for medical students in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain for 5 years. During that time, she also completed her Aviation Medicine training first in Farnborough, then at Kings College, London, UK. From 1999 until May 2017, she worked for Emirates Airline as a General Practitioner and Aviation Medical Examiner. She was also appointed Vice President of the Emirates Medical Services and hold this management position for 7 years while continuing to provide primary health care and performing aviation regulatory medicals.

She is fully registered as a General Practitioner with both the General Medical Council (UK) and the Dubai Health Authority. She is a very experienced Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) designated by the GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

Dr. Deglume is also highly experienced in all areas of General Practice and Travel Medicine and she speaks French and English fluently.
