Dr. Avelina Isabelle Mario

Dr. Mario is a German Board-certified Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with extensive experience of more than 10 years in 4 different countries – United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mario received her basic medical degree from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany in 1996. She completed her Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, MRCS Ed.in 2002. She obtained her Facharzt in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Germany 2010. Dr. Mario is a Cambridge, UK trainee. Her broad interest in the field led her training and several fellowships in different fields of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in Cambridge such Fellowship in Transplant Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and as Trauma Fellow in one of the largest Trauma Units in the UK, the world renowned specialist burns and plastic surgery service St Andrew's Centre. There she received her training in Burns surgery, a special interest she has pursued ever since. She led the interdisciplinary Microsurgery at Chirurgie Plastique, Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, Switzerland until 2013, before being nominated Deputy Chief of Plastic Surgery Klinikum EvB, Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus, Charité, Berlin, responsible for the breast department. She just completed a 1 year appointment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib, HMG Group, where she was responsible for Aesthetic surgery, as well as Trauma and Burns care.
