Dr. Ayesha Khan

Dr. Ayesha Khan is a Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist - Eye Surgeon at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital. She is well trained and experienced in clinical and surgical treatment of full range of children’s Eye diseases which include, besides others, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Retinoblastoma, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Squints and eye injuries. She is also an experienced hand in surgically treating adult squints, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Khan, after doing her fellowships in Ophthalmology from College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan (FCPS), & Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK (FRCSEd), completed her clinical & surgical training in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus from University of Toronto, Canada. Thereafter, she headed the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology at a tertiary care Eye Hospital in Pakistan for five years before moving to Canada in 2010. At Canada she served at the prestigious Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre for nine years as Associate Professor and Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Khan has done extensive research work in the field of Paediatric Ophthalmology and has a number of publications to her credit. In her clinical and surgical practice she utilizes the world-class methodologies.
