Dr. Donatella Casiglia

Dr. Donatella is an Italian Board-Certified Specialist Endocrinology and Diabetology with over 26 years’ experience in treating patients with complex type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodule, hypothyroidism, parathyroid disease, obesity, pituitary and adrenal disease.

Dr. Donatella Casiglia practiced in various reputable organizations in the United Arab Emirates, UK and Italy.

She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Palermo, Italy and completed her Italian Board Certification in Endocrinology and Diabetes in 1996. She worked in Milan until 2004 as Specialist in diabetes and Endocrinology. Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Head of Department in Orpington Hospital in UK until 2013 where she has promoted integrated, and patient centered care. She has been particularly involved in management of patient with Type 1 diabetes and lead of the Antenatal multidisciplinary team.

From 2013 to 2018 she has worked in Dubai as specialist in Diabetes and Endocrinology and member of the Multidisciplinary thyroid cancer group.
