Dr. Eftekhar Al Ojaimi

Dr. Al-Ojaimi is a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology since 1996. She graduated from the University of Ain Shams, Cairo, Egypt, with Honors grade.

In 1993, She received her Arab Arab Board For Medical Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Damascus, Syria. In 1994, she had her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, United Kingdom. And in1998, she received her Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Radiologists Advanced Training in Obstetrics Ultrasound, London, United Kingdom.

In 2003, she had her Diploma in Health Care Management from the Royal College of Surgeon In Ireland, with Honors grade. In 2006, She had her Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, United Kingdom. Dr. Al-Ojaimi worked in Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) at Kingdom of Bahrain, and in different hospitals in UK. She was the Medical Education Coordinator in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SMC, Kingdom of Bahrain, Arabian Gulf (1996-1998), and Chairperson, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMC, Kingdom of Bahrain, Arabian Gulf in 2000.

She holds the position of Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SMC, Kingdom of Bahrain, Arabian Gulf (1996-2010). She worked in Dubai, UAE at Dubai Hospital as Consultant and Head, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2010-2012). And at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group as Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2013-2014).

She had special training in Operative Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Procedures, Urodynamic, Colposcopy, Prenatal Diagnosis and Infertility at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, England and Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast, Northern Ireland (1992-1995).

Dr. Al-Ojaimi major interest in Operative Laparoscopic Procedures. She started Laparoscopic operative surgeries at SMC in Bahrain, and managed to train most of the doctors over there. Dr. Al-Ojaimi participated formally in teaching Medical students at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Arabian Gulf University, Kingdom of Bahrain, Arabian Gulf (1996-2004). And at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain), Kingdom of Bahrain, Arabian Gulf in 2009. From 2010 till date, she is working as Associate Professor at Dubai Medical College for Girls, Dubai, UAE.

Dr. Al-Ojaimi has published many scientific papers in different national and international journals, and presented around 60 papers in both national and international courses and Conferences.

She is a member of several professional societies and committees including: British Medical Ultrasound Society in UK, Cancer Control Committee in Ministry of Health (MOH), Kingdom of Bahrain, Quality Assurance Committee in MOH, Bahrain Osteoporosis Society in Bahrain, International WHO’S WHO of Professionals in USA, Burwin Institute of Ultrasound in Canada ( Asian& Middle East Branch), and Specialty Training Committee in Obst & Gynae in Dubai Health Authority. Member of British Medical Ultrasound Society in UK
