Dr. Hena Kalam is a Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital. She has more than 20 years of experience in woman’s health. She graduated from RIIMS , Ranchi in India in 1999, was trained in Radiology for one year and then decided to follow her passion in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and acquired a Masters degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Darbhanga in India. She did her Fellowship in Gynae Laparoscopy in India.

Dr. Kalam has worked in Bahrain for many years , first with Bahrain Specialist Hospital and then with American Mission Hospital. She moved to UAE in 2012. Before joining Kings Hospital, she was working in Medcare Women and Children Hospital.

I had the absolute privilege of having Dr. Hena as my OB-GYN for the birth of my baby girl. From our very first appointment, she made me feel seen, heard, and completely at ease. Despite her busy schedule, she always took the time to patiently answer all my questions and calm any anxieties I had as a first-time mum. Her warmth, compassion, and genuine care were constant throughout my pregnancy, and I always felt incredibly safe in her hands. One of the reasons I chose Dr. Hena was her strong support for natural delivery. In the end she will always do what’s best for baby and mama. Her guidance, experience, and calm confidence helped me trust the process and trust myself. A close friend had also delivered with her and shared a similarly wonderful experience, which only confirmed how special she is. I can’t thank her enough for helping bring my little girl into the world so beautifully.

I am the patient of Dr. Hena. My second delivery is complicated but Dr. Hena supported me a lot. With her all support and good treatment I got my second baby without any complications. Thanks to Dr. Hena for all your caring through out my labour. Your smily face and mental support always make me confident. Thank you so so so much doctor

Dr Hena is an excellent doctor who takes a lot of time to check in and make sure everything is perfect with your baby and pregnancy. I would definitely recommend her.
