Dr. Houria Bey

Mrs. Houria Bey is a speech-language-voice therapist at Belhoul European Hospital. Graduated from the University of Algiers – Institute of Psychology, Science Education and Orthophonia as a Speech, Language and Phoniatrics Therapist. Her field of expertise is in Communication; Speech-Language Pathology; Neuro-Psychology disorders and Voice pathology in child, adolescent and adult in three languages; Arabic, French and English..

Mrs. Houria’s field of interest and expertise include diagnosing and treating communication, language, and neuro-psycho linguistic disorders, voice pathology, as well as treatments in co-operation with various disciplines such as pediatrics, ophthalmology, neurology, psychiatry, and ENT.

With a total of 30 years of experience, she has worked in the University Hospital of Ben Aknoun in Algiers in the Neurology department for 8 years.

She moved to the UAE in the year 1996 where she worked for the City of Humanitarian Services in Sharjah for one year, then she joined the ENT department in Dubai Hospital – DHA for 14 years. She joined Belhoul European Hospital as a Speech Therapist in the year 2012.

She has various publications to her credit and was also the editor in chief for the Journal “Studies in Orthophonia and Neuropsychology” – Edition / Al Bassira Center for Research, Consulting and Educational Services. She has also been awarded for creativity and innovation by the Dubai Government Excellence Program under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister.
