Dr. Issam Hassan

Dr. Issam Hassan has over 40 years of experience in the Middle East (16 years in UAE). He brings a wealth of experience to help our patients through a varied range of ailments. With high qualifications from Iraq, UK, USA and South Korea, Dr. Issam has been trained on highly standardized surgical techniques including; Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic techniques for the Abdomen and Gastrointestinal Tract across Germany, France, Canada, UK, USA and South Korea.

He has completed over 20,000 procedures through his career across government and private hospital with over 100 very rare surgical cases. He is a member of different medical scientific societies in UAE, USA and Europe, actively taking part in their surgical conferences across the world.

He was also awarded the ‘Distinction care for highly standardized scientific teams’ for 4 years consecutively (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003). He was the man behind the first team in Iraq to create Experimental Liver Transplant team back in 1997 and Islet Cell Pancreas Transplant in 2002. He also has held teaching positions for medical student in Baghdad University and Sharjah University.

He has special interest in the care for bedsore & Diabetic foot. His clinical experience in managing Trauma, Surgical Emergency & Critical cases , Benign and Malignant diseases, Gastro-Intestinal Tract Surgeries for Stomach, Liver, Hepato-biliary, Pancreas, spleen, Colon, Rectum, Anus , for hemorrhoids & Fistulae, Breast Surgeries, Thyroid gland, Abdominal wall and Hernias ( Ventral, inguinal, incisional, recurrent hernias), using open, endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic (if available ) techniques, in addition for Diagnosic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
