Dr. Mahira Yunus

Dr. Yunus is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, London (FRCR) with CCST certification, and a fellow and member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (FCPS and MCPS) in Diagnostic Radiology.

Dr. Yunus is a highly experienced radiologist who is an expert in sectional body imaging including CT and MRI as well as CT-angiographies, cardiac-CT, virtual endoscopy and MR-angiographies. She has a special interest in breast imaging and is experienced in breast ultrasound, mammography and MRI with CAD stream analysis. She is also trained in ultrasound guided FNA, trucut biopsies of breast lesions and axillary lymph nodes and mammographic guided pre-operative needle localisation of non-palpable breast lumps. She also performs galactography. In addition, she is experienced in CT guided and ulltrasound guided fine needle and trucut biopsies and drainages (diagnostic, therapeutic and tube placements) of abcesses and collections and intervention of the chest (lung nodules/masses, mediastinal, pleural and paravertebral lesions/masses), neck (thyroid nodules, lymph nodes and masses) and abdomen (retroperitoneal, paravertebral, intraperitoneal, mesenteric and solid organ masses/lesions) and percutaneous nephrostomies with high success rate.
