Dr. Mona Thakre is a well experienced Neurologist with more than 17 years of experience to her credit in UAE and India.

She had her basic MBBS and MD in medicine from Nagpur University, India and DM and DNB in Neurology from Bombay Hospital, Mumbai University, India.

She has completed her Speciality Certificate in Neurology from Royal college of Physicians (UK). She has been recently awarded with the “Fellow of American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) “ certificate in recognition of her work in the field of Neurology by the AAN.

She has a rich Neurology experience in the government and private sector of Dubai.

Her areas of interest:  Multiple Sclerosis, Headache Stroke, Epilepsy, Movement disorders.

She is an expert in procedures like Botulinum toxin injection for various dystonia and spasticity and occipital nerve block. She has pioneered the stroke unit and pathway in Aditya Birla hospital in Pune  and has rich experience in thrombolysis in acute stroke.

She is an active researcher and has numerous presentations in local and international conferences.

She has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals.
