Dr. Mukaddes Oksuz

Dr. Oksuz is a German Board Certified Consultant and graduated from the University of Dusseldorf, Germany.

She completed her residency training in two different academic teaching hospitals of the Dusseldorf University, both with an emphasis on treatment of high-risk pregnancies, gynaecological tumors including breast cancer and minimally invasive surgical approach.

In 2007, she became the attending physician to Klinikum Leverkusen, an academic teaching hospital of the Cologne University in Germany. During her first year, she was the Consultant for the delivery room, observing high-risk pregnancies and managing high-risk deliveries. In 2008, she became the attending physician at the Gynaecological surgery department. Together with the Department of Urology and Coloproctology, she established an interdisciplinary center for women’s incontinence and pelvic floor diseases.

Dr. Oksuz is highly experienced in the treatment of incontinence problems in women including incontinence operations such as insertion of slings, treatment of the urethra with bulking agents and surgical repair of the vagina and pelvic floor. Dr. Oksuz is also experienced in laparoscopic surgery in gynecology such as removal of cysts and tumors of the ovaries, removal of the uterus (total laparoscopic hysterectomy, supracervical hysterectomy), removal of fibroids (myomectomy) treatment of endometriosis, lysis of adhesions following surgical treatment.

Dr. Oksuz also worked at the breast cancer center of Klinikum Leverkusen where she developed her skills in diagnostics of breast diseases (breast ultrasound scan, core biopsy of breast lumps), She delivers and performs surgeries at the American Hospital and at the Al Zahra Hospital.
