Dr. Nabil Akkawi

Dr Akkawi has more than 18 years of experience in Neurology. He completed his medical degree and residency in Neurology at the University of Brescia, Italy, and did a fellowship in stroke at the University of Miami. He was later appointed Research Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts (UMASS). Dr Akkawi has been a clinical Assistant Professor at Beirut Arab University, Hammoud University Medical Center and head of the Neurology and Psychology Health Center in Lebanon. He has many publications in peer reviewed journals. These include prestigious journals such as Lancet, JNNP, stroke, multiple sclerosis, advances in multiple sclerosis. He has long standing experience in the field of stroke, multiple sclerosis, headache, epilepsy, Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases, peripheral neuropathy and myopathy. He is an expert in EEG, EMG, TCD and polysomnography.
