Dr. Robert Kempers

Dr Kempers is a Sports Medicine Consultant with a special interest in exercise physiology and human movement. Alongside his position at UPANDRUNNING, he remains as medical coordinator and physician of the Dutch National Cycling Federation, for which he was the Team NL physician for the London and Rio Olympics and the 2014 European Games. He was a past team physician for UCI ProTour teams such Team LottoNL – Jumbo and Argos-Shimano. Dr Kempers treats all musculoskeletal concerns such as neck-shoulder pain, back pain, headache, hip, knee and foot problems.

He also consults on performance loss, altitude training as a tool to improve condition and rehabilitation after inactivity, operation or illness. As a competitive triathlete, he has an interest in all sports and is particularly interested the mechanics of human movement – completing both Biomedical Health Science and Physical Therapy degrees. Dr Kempers speaks English, French, Dutch and German.
