Dr. Rola Hammoud

Dr Rola Hammoud has been practicing for 25 years as anesthesiologist administering all types of anesthesia including general anesthesia and locoregional blocks to alleviate patients anxiety and pain during the surgery. Her vast experience made her a master of intraop hemdynamic monitoring and an expert in anesthetising critical patients for major surgeries including neurosurgery . She has experience in education and training of residents and participated in many regional and international anesthesia congresses and workshops as a speaker and trainer.

Dr. Hammoud, through her holistic approach, provides the safest care as guided by the best practices and the international standards to ensure patients are properly and promptly treated through their entire surgical path from the visit to the preanesthesia clinic , to the intraoperative management and monitoring until their discharge from the hospital. She has been holding many leadership and managerial positions in her career, the latest is becoming the Chief Medical Executive and the Director of Anesthesia Services at Clemenceau Medical Center-Dubai.

Her enthusiasm and eagerness to maintain patient safety inside the operating rooms and all over the care path of patients in a hospital drove her to found a society for patient safety in Lebanon.

Dr.Hammoud graduated from the " Universite Libre de Bruxelles" as Medical Doctor and from the " American University of Beirut" as an anesthesiologist. She then pursued further training in UK where she gained more experience in pediatric and obstetric anesthesia . She obtained a diploma in Locoregional anesthesia from Marseilles , France and became expert in performing regional blocks under ultrasound guidance to treat intraoperative and postoperative pain of major surgeries in seriously ill patients. She spent the last 15 years at Clemenceau Medical Center, Beirut, affiliated to Johns Hopkins International where she was the operating room director and a trainer on difficult airway management and locoregional anesthesia. She was the Chief Quality Officer leading the quality and safety programs at CMC Beirut before joining CMC Dubai.
