Dr. Shireen Ahmed

Dr. Shireen  comes with more than 20 years of experience across UK, Germany,  West Indies and UAE. Dr Shireen has completed her BSc. Honours and MBBS from the very reputed University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. She later honed her skills by receiving Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST).

Dr Shireen completed her internship at Port of Spain General Hospital, Trinidad . She later moved to United Kingdom and trained as a Radiology Registrar , at St George Hospital London, where she also completed her FRCR (Part1). She then enhanced her skills by joining our reputed Kings College Hospital, London and completed her FRCR (Part 2) & CCST.

She later moved to Germany and was associated with St Georg Krankenhaus, Hamburg, where she gained  Facharztin Radiologie . She went back to United Kingdom and worked as a Radiology consultant with Breast Imaging specialisation at Frimley Park Hospital, UK for 17 years.

Dr Shireen moved to Dubai in 2017 and was working as Consultant Breast Radiologist, where she was also the head of Breast Care Imaging.

At King’s College Hospital we are equipped for early detection of breast cancer with digital mammography, 3D Breast Tomosynthesis with CAD, Breast ultrasound, Breast MRI, Breast biopsies under ultrasound and stereotactic / Mammographic guidance, Vacuum assisted biopsies, Breast lesion localisation prior to breast conserving surgery using ultrasound or stereotactic guidance.
