Dr. Sara Khawaja

Dr Sara Khawaja is a General Pediatrician with over 15 years’ experience. She is a member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK).

She completed her training in Pediatrics in the United Kingdom and Singapore where she gained intensive general pediatric and subspecialty experience at Queen’s Park Hospital, UK and at KK Women and Children’s Hospital and the National University Hospital, Singapore.

In the UAE, Dr Sara has worked at Medcare Hospital and Latifa Hospital, a busy government tertiary centre for sick children.

In addition to providing general pediatric services, Dr Sara has a special interest in Developmental Pediatrics. This involves detailed assessment and management of children with delayed milestones, special needs and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.

Dr Sara is strongly committed to each child as a whole person, providing holistic care not only for physical ailments, but also for behavioral, social, educational and psychological needs. She firmly believes that children are best understood within the interlinking contexts of family, school and biology. To this end, she is passionate about guiding children, parents and teachers in the establishment of a healthy lifestyle and encouraging preventive approaches and medicine.
