Dr. Shweta Agarwal

Dr. Shweta joined Allied Medical Center in October 2016, bringing more than 12 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging to the Company. At Allied Medical Center she is leading Breast Services which includes diagnostic, screening and interventional services. In parallel she maintains a keen interest in Women’s imaging, Musculoskeletal MRI and Neuroradiology.

She is a Specialist Radiologist with extensive experience in reading Digital Mammography & Breast MRI. She performs targeted breast ultrasound and various interventional procedures that include Breast Core Biopsies with market placement, Fine Needle Aspirations, Stereotactic Biopsies and Pre-Operative Guide Wire Placement. She has done multiple courses in Breast Imaging and Musculoskeletal MRI.

Dr Shweta obtained her FRCR (Fellowship of Royal College of Radiology) qualification from London, UK. She is also an active ACR (American College of Radiology) and ESR (European Society of Radiology Member).

In addition, she had been a certified fellow and member of FMF (Foundation of Fetal Medicine-UK) in 2010. Dr. Shweta has a particular interest in fetal imaging including first and second trimester scan.

In 2003, Dr. Shweta completed her primary medical degree with honours at the Government Medical College, Kota, India. She was the winner of gold medal. She completed her training in diagnostic radiology in 2008 from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and got a gold medal. She completed her DNB (Radiology) from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.

From 2012 till 2014 she worked as an Assistant Professor at the NIMS Medical College, Jaipur India where she was actively involved in the teaching of postgraduate students. She held a post as Consultant Radiologist at Getwell Polyclinic and Hospitals where she obtained extensive experience in breast imaging and fetal medicine, as well as in MRI which included neuro imaging, MSK, abdominal imaging.

Dr. Shweta relocated to Dubai in 2015 and worked as Specialist Radiologist in a large private hospital. During her tenure she worked with all modalities – MRI, CT scan, fluoroscopy, breast imaging and obstetric scans.

She has various publications in indexed journals and is a keep speaker at breast cancer awareness events.
