Dr. Siva Prakash completed his M.B.B.S (Univesity of Madras, India) September 1971, D.P.M. (Diploma in Psychological Medicine) University of Bangalore, India 1976 M.N.AM.S (Psychiatry), Membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India 1979, Fellowship in Child Psychiatry (W.H.O. Award) Institute of Psychiatry, London, U.K. July -August 1983.

Dr. Siva Prakash has an excellent and impressive track record of over 25 years of active academic career with teaching, training and research, before relocating to the UAE to work with NMC Healthcare.

Dr. Siva Prakash areas of expertise are child and adolescent mental health, family and marital counseling, trans-cultural aspects of mental health, psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, adolescent and young people’s health, and therapy for obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders and depression.

He practices Child and adolescent mental health, family and marital counselling, transcultural aspects of mental health, psychotherapy, congnitive behaviour therapy, adolescent therapy, and special interest in therapy for obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder and depression in general psychiatry. Also school mental health program, assessment of children with development disabilities and learning disorder, evaluation of students requiring special accommodation (exemption from additional languages more time to complete answers, use of aids) for KHDA, support services for autism spectrum disorders.

Dr. Siva Prakash is well versed in English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Arabic, and Urdu.
