Dr. Tamer Fawzy

Consultant of Ear, Nose & throat with special interest in endoscopic sinus surgery, Rhinoplasty and procedures for snoring and sleep apnea.

Prior to joining CMC Dubai, Dr Tamer Fawzy was a Consultant of Ear Nose & throat at Dar el foad Hospital a Cleveland international affiliate in Cairo, Egypt and a Professor of Otolaryngology. With an experience of over a 1000 documented nose and sinus procedures, Dr Fawzy has been operating with the most up to date techniques in endoscopic sinus surgery using the Navigation system as well as the micro derider (shaver) for complicated and recurrent cases of Sino nasal polyposis.

Having worked with various contact sports teams throughout his career, he is also experienced in nasal trauma procedures and reconstructive surgery of the Nose, both the functional and the aesthetic aspects. He has more than 10 years experience in injectables of the Face, Nose and Jaw for both the aesthetic aspect as well as headache management. As an early user of the radio frequency technology, Dr Fawzy is familiar with most of its application including, tonsillectomy, turbinectomy, snoring and palatoplasty procedures for sleep apnea as well as vocal cord lesions.

Graduated from the Faculty of medicine Cairo University with honors and completed his Ear Nose and throat residency at Kasr Eleini teaching hospital in 2001, followed by the MD thesis dissertation in 2003. In 2004 he was awarded an endoscopic sinus surgery scholarship by the DAAD, the German foreign research exchange program.

A second residency with subspecialty training in Rhinology and functional endoscopic sinus surgery was completed in 2006, at Klinikum rechts der Isar (ranked second teaching hospital in Germany) of the Technical University in Munich.  He received the German board of Otolaryngology certificate (Facharzt) in 2006. Attended various clinical attachments and trainings at the Arabella clinic in Munich, Charing Cross in London and the University clinic in St Poelten. He also holds the Aesthetic Anti-Aging Fellowship in Botulinum toxins and Fillers injectables since 2012.

In 2019 he was granted the title Professor of Otolaryngology from the Supreme council of Universities in Egypt.
