Dr. Tina

Dr Tina Rokadia is an American-trained Prosthodontist. She is a dedicated dental care professional with over 16 years of experience, specializing in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She holds a masters in Prosthodontics from the prestigious Boston University and received her BDS from Nair Hospital Dental College in Mumbai in 2006.

In 2020, Dr. Rokadia continued her education on a different path in the world of Airway and Sleep Dentistry. Dr. Rokadia is among the first few dentists in the United Arab Emirates to become educated on the effects of a compromised airway on our overall health.

After 100’s of hours of continuing education, all based out of the USA, she now offers these treatments to patients in Dubai, UAE.

Dr. Rokadia is a Vivos integrated provider. Vivos: Denver, Colorado is leading the world in treatments of sleep apnea in children and adults through their pediatric guide systems, FDA approved DNA and mRNA appliance therapy.

Additionally Dr. Rokadia is a Breathe Institute Ambassador, trained by Dr. Soroush Zaghi, Los Angeles, in the diagnosis and treatment of tongue-ties and other tethered oral tissues. She follows their functional frenuloplasty techniques in combination with myofunctional therapy.

Dr. Rokadia is also a member of and qualified by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) to help patients with sleep apnea. She treats adult patients with oral appliance therapy which reduce snoring and fatigue. She follows a protocol to offer home sleep studies before and after the appliance to confirm their effectiveness.

She is also the UAE liaison for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD) and spends her time advocating the importance of airway and sleep disordered breathing in the larger medical community and on podcasts. She runs an educational instagram page called @airwaydentistdubai

She believes that treatment of sleep disordered breathing requires a multi-disciplinary approach through airway focused ENT’s,Orthodontists, Cranio-sacral osteopaths, Myofunctional Therapists, Buteyko breathing experts all led by an airway focused dentist. She helps patients create this team together.

She follows a functional approach to offer more “root cause” treatments. The ultimate goal of all treatment in her practice is to achieve nasal breathing.

On a personal front, Dr. Rokadia has lived in Dubai for the last 17 years. Her husband and 2 children have been large supporters of her airway journey. She’s a passionate person who believes in work-life balance as a core value. When

she’s not at the clinic , she can be found walking at Kite beach, at school pick ups or scuba diving in Fujairah! She will be happy to chat with you about your sleep and airway at any of these locations!
