Dr. Yasser Abdou Ibrahim Mohamed

Dr. Yasser Abdou Ibrahim Mohamed is a Specialist in Pediatrics and Neonatology with more than 19 years of clinical and academic experience. He has extensive expertise in the care of newborns, infants, and children, with a special focus on preterm neonates requiring close monitoring and specialized management, postnatal follow-up, pediatric emergencies, and advanced pediatric intensive care for critically ill children.

Dr. Yasser began his medical career at Al Azhar University in Egypt, where he served as a resident, assistant lecturer, lecturer, and later as a Consultant in Pediatrics and Neonatology. He worked across university hospitals from 2006 to 2019, gaining broad experience in pediatric and neonatal care while also contributing to medical education and academic development. During this period, he obtained his Master’s Degree and MD/PhD in Pediatrics and Neonatology from the Faculty of Medicine, Al Azhar University.

His clinical interests include pediatric pulmonology and the management of respiratory conditions, child growth and development, genetic disorders, neurological and nutritional disorders, anemia in children, and gastrointestinal conditions such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, and gastrointestinal bleeding. He also provides comprehensive childhood immunization programs and preventive pediatric care.

Before joining Gargash Hospital, Dr. Yasser worked as a Senior Specialist in Pediatrics and Neonatology at Women and Children Hospital in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, followed by Saudi German Hospital in Ajman and Sharjah. He has also served as a Lecturer in Pediatrics at Sharjah and Ajman universities in the UAE.
